Who is this course for?

The qualification aims to develop learners’ skills and knowledge in leadership and management to ensure that services can respond fully to the needs and aspirations of those that use their provision. The qualification develops leadership skills, innovation and entrepreneurial skills, the importance of embedding robust values and commitment to partnership working.

This qualification is suitable for those learners who are either:

  • working at a level 3 and aspire to progress into management
  • working towards or working as managers (new in post), who wish to use this qualification to support with the Manager Induction Standards.

How long will it take?

The total qualification time (TQT) for this qualification is 800 hours and of this 582 are recommended as guided learning.

Ultimately, the length of time needed for completion will also be dependent on your personal motivation and commitment.

To be able to provide evidence for this qualification, you must be working in an adult health or care setting.

Course Content

You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence, with the support of your assessor. There are 20 mandatory units that you will need to complete, as well as choosing some optional units with your assessor.

Your assessor will support you to provide suitable evidence, which can include records of discussions, work products, observations, witness testimonies, assignments and recognition of prior learning.

£1500 + 20% VAT = £1800 

We offer a payment plan if you would prefer to pay in instalments.

General information

There are no prerequisites for this qualification, however it is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.
