Who is this course for?

The qualification covers the knowledge and skills learners need to manage the operations of their department including the interpersonal, leadership and management skills required to succeed in a management position. Learners will be expected to understand how to manage the performance of their team members and how to enhance team performance while managing their own work effectively to meet team and organisation objectives.

The objective of the qualification is to support a role in the workplace, giving learners the opportunity to learn and evidence their knowledge and competency either as part of an apprenticeship or as a stand-alone qualification. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills in leadership and management such as:

  • Building relationships
  • Project management
  • Communication

How long will it take?

The total qualification time (TQT) for this qualification is 420 hours and of this 201 are recommended as guided learningTo be able to provide evidence for this qualification, you must be working in an adult health or care setting.

Course Content

You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence.

Your assessor will support you to provide suitable evidence, which can include records of discussions, work products, observations, witness testimonies, assignments and recognition of prior learning

£1500 + 20% VAT = £1800

There are no prerequisites for this qualification, however it is advised that learners have a basic level of literacy or numeracy.
